AFCON 2017 Qualifier: Tanzania 0-0 Nigeria, Ikeme shows class

It was an evening of no goal as Tanzania were able to hold Nigeria to a goalless draw in Sunday Oliseh’s first match as Super Eagles Head Coach. In a match that show cased Carl Ikeme’s class in the absence of Vereran Vincent Enyeama in goal for the Super Eagles, even an extra 3 minutes added time could not separate the two sides.

It will be adjudged that without the necessary Super Eagles attack like Odion Ighalo, Victor Moses and Gbolahan Salami and missing veteran goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, Sunday Oliseh’s men failed to break down Boniface Mkwasa’s well-drilled hosts who were fuelled by a crowd that generated a tremendous atmosphere.

While Nigerians would have loved a win, a draw without conceding and still staying on top of the Group G table with 4 points pending Chad vs Eqypt Sunday match doesn’t look bad.

A question for Super Eagles fans .. What is your rating of Sunday Oliseh and his boyz?
