Africa dominates the U-17 World Cup in Chile. Nigeria battles Mali (Current U-17 African Champions) in the Final on Sunday 8th November, 2015.
For the second time in Under-17 World Cup history, the final will be an all-African affair. Nigeria and Mali will battle for the title, 22 years after Nigeria and Ghana were the first pair from the continent to make it to the same decider.
One name for Nigeria in the tournament is of course Victor Osimhen, The gangly Nigerian U-17 striker who has taking the tournament by storm scoring 9 goals and as already matched the highest goal tally in this competition. One more goal in the final and he would be the highest goal scorer in the history of the U-17 tournament.
Where are the scouts? You bet, reports have it that PSG,Liverpool, Chelsea, Juventus, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich have all sent scouts to Chile to watch the U-17 World Cup. They are likely to be returning to their respective clubs with only one name on their lips.
A big congrats to Coach Amuneke for his achievements and while Nigerians pray for another trophy, Osimhen hopes to win and make it like his 2013 senior Kelechi Iheanacho who is getting a good review of himself at Manchester City.
