PFA Boss Gordon Taylor described it as “warehousing”, at least thats how espn puts it when they count the number of Chelsea’s players on Loan to be around 33. Even with high profile players like Juan Cuadrado (at Juventus), Marco van Ginkel (Stoke City) and Victor Moses (West Ham) departing in the last Transfer window on loan of course.
I really don’t see any reason for alarm though Taylor feels otherwise, Chelsea uses its loan market and relationships to send younger players on loan just like every other clubs do. If its the number, I’m sure its because Chelsea players are in demand in the football market as there is no place for everyone yet in the first team.
Chelsea do have a young team, an academy as it is and with that number out, the blues sure do have a lot of players.
Here is Taylor’s final statement on it
“It’s not so much something that we’ve been alerted to. It’s something that you can’t fail to notice because it has been such a phenomenal number of players out there.”
