I wasn’t giving Chelsea the win even before the kickoff but i was expecting Jose Mourinho’s men to prove me wrong but alas they didn’t. The defensive mistakes continues, the hard work no results continues, needless to say the match against Porto was won by the better team of the night. You are free to argue that.
FC Porto took the lead six minutes before half-time, but Willian equalized with a brilliant free-kick with the last action of the first half that left Casilas speechless.
Porto, however, restored their advantage shortly after the break courtesy of a clinical Maicon header, and although Diego Costa and Branislav Ivanovic went close to leveling once more, that goal proved decisive.
The win moves Porto’s unbeaten record to 18 in all competitions and Portugal was alive with that win over a former Manager Jose Mourinho.
‘It was a good performance with two ridiculous mistakes,’ said Mourinho. ‘Sometimes you make those mistakes and you are not punished, we were punished. With the second goal it’s a ridiculous mistake. We watched dozens of repetitions of Porto taking corners, I thought we were completely ready for that and at a moment when the game was under control and we were preparing to make a change we conceded that goal. We had another similar mistake when they hit the post. Apart from that I thought we had balance, defensively we had no problems and the defenders played well.
What the fans are doing …. It’s time to pray for Chelsea as the blue seems to be fading away ..lol
