Last weekend was a drama weekend in the EPL no doubt with results that were way not expected but this is football, anything is possible. Stoke City stood their ground and hammered Man City 2 goals to none, Man Utd continued their goalless form, Tottenham were held by West brom and Chelsea suffered yet another defeat, this time to Bournemonth. Leicester and Arsenal were on point that weekend with both of then scoring 3 goals each against their opponent.
Leicester v Chelsea will be the match of the day this weekend (Should it?)… Maybe, just maybe the Chelsea that saw themselves off FC Porto to clinch Group stage leaders in the Champions league will put brakes on Vardy and his Leicester giants.
Chelsea players are optimistic they can take the Porto form into the League and make the much needed rise up the table that is needed.
Willian said “Hopefully we can take that into our league form. We go to Leicester on Monday, which will be tough because they’re playing well, but if we can play like we did against Porto we’ve got a good chance of pushing up the league.”
Oscar believes it too “We need to win two or three games (in a row) to keep the confidence,’ he added. ‘The win against Porto was important for everyone. It’s difficult when we lose a game, for the players and Jose.”
