Tottenham vs Man City promised to be an important match and in the end it was an important match but what was most prolific about it was that Tottenham Hotspurs won convincingly by goal margin 4 goals to 1 at home making them unbeatable in their last 6 premier league games having only lost 1.

Even Man City’s official report did not sugarcoat the defeat calling it an outright thrashing. “City were handed a White Hart Lane thrashing by Tottenham on a miserable afternoon in North London.”

While Tottenham and Kane deserved their impressive victory, they also had the officials to thank for three points and a first goal of the season.Harry Kane’s goal and the first goal for the Spurs should have been offside calls but they have benefited today and Kevin De Bruyne’s first goal of the game was not enough to keep Citizens in the game.

I guess the poorest man on the field would be Man City keeper Caballero who made too many mistakes today and kept the league leaders behind.

Some Stats off the game

  1. Harry kane finally gets his first goal of this season’s Premier league, lets hope the goals continue
  2. This loss is Man City’s heaviest since their 3-0 loss against liverpool in 2011
  3. Kevin de Bruyne has now scored 3 goals in 3 games for Man City and the 50th of his professional career, looks like money well spent

Something to laugh about, I heard Chelsea fan say “Hahahah, It’s Man City’s turn now”. I guess he is referring to the Mighty falling and dropping points like Chelsea did”.

But thanks to the double loss now experienced by Man City, the Premier league table looks open again and everyone seems to be a contender again. If United wins this afternoon, they overtake Man City to 16pts and lead the table and if slacking Chelsea wins Newcastle… that leaves just 6 points. EPL is open again and the fight to top the league by Mid-season continues.
