Eden Hazard is a household name in today’s English football but even if Coach Jose Mourinho compares him to Christiano Ronaldo, he has not dared to compare himself with the current duo of Messi and Ronaldo. In an interview with Sport/Foot Magazine in Belgium, He said
“I ask myself what I can do to become like Messi and Ronaldo, and score 50 or 60 goals in a season, I try but I realize that I will never be a true scorer. It is not in me. It is mainly mental.
Eden hazard scored 19 times last season to help Chelsea secure another Premier League Title in a season where he won the PFA player of the year, a title he deserved with his form last season. A form he has been struggling with lately in the first 4 games of the season and he knows, well we all know.
He happens to be a very contented player, I say that because he also mentioned that he is not in search of records like some other players. “If I can score between 15 and 20 goals each season, I will be very happy”
Hazard has been on the score sheet for Belgium over the International break and I’m sure Chelsea fans will hope he remembers where the net is against Everton this weekend, Chelsea needs a win and if it takes courtios to score the goals, who cares?
