Arsenal shocked everyone with a strong style of play against Manchester United on Sunday sending the visitors away with a whooping 3-0 deficit. The way Arsenal took Manchester United apart showed why they should be serious title contenders this season but the Gunners’ problem is they do not play like that often enough.

Is it true that Gunners don’t play strong enough or is it just the team?

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott came out after the game and said they had sent out a message that they are going to have a real go at winning the Premier League.

This performance and result should be a real springboard for them, as well as a huge confidence boost going into the international break, but I would have my doubts whether it will be because they have been so inconsistent in the past. Part of that is their own doing. As I said on Match of the Day 2, they should always pick their best available team, and that means picking their best goalkeeper.- Alan Shearer

Arsene Wenger returned Peter Cech to the goal post and even though he wasn’t troubled much because of Arsenal defence of the day, It is always good to have Cech on goal to match the day.

The passing and movement we saw from Arsene Wenger’s side was outstanding, as was their finishing so maybe Wenger was right that his forwarders can all get 20 goals this season and deliver the trophy to Arsenal.

Arsenal sit in 2nd place with Man united in 3rd place even though  they have 16 pts each. The race is on, who is next to depose Man City off #1 spot?
