Swansea City v Manchester United | 16:00 30th August
United Captain, The hat-trick hero Rooney will lead United again on Sunday in a bid to show a convincing performance against Swansea like they did against Club Brugge during the week. No doubt Rooney’s moral is high and that of the team with a spot in the champions league. One +ve EPL boost they have so far which is that of a clean sheet with goal keeper Romero.
However, Swansea comes into this match with a lot on their side also, having won these fixture back to back last season and with Gomis already on 3 goals this season, Swansea isn’t going down easy. Their match against Chelsea saw it all, the resilience, the doggedness and the need to make a mark so Swansea will give Man United a fight at home.
But then, how will the cards play out? I vote for a draw, If Man Utd continue their clean sheet with blunt attack, means no goal for United and with Swansea wary of United’s attack staying deep and being cautious, they may just end another stalemate. But maybe just not a stalemate like Newcastle so 1-1 Draw, Under 2.5 goals will work.
