Rodgers Out, Klopp In as Liverpool sacks Brendan Rogders

Eeya, but it wasn’t an unexpected news really (Read: Exit door looms for Liverpool Manager Brendan Rodgers). Liverpool have sacked manager Brendan Rodgers after three and a half years in charge. Ex-Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is first choice to take over. Rodgers was dismissed after Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Everton, which left the Reds 10th in the Premier League, but the decision was made before the game.

Liverpool hope to appoint Jurgen Klopp to replace sacked manager Brendan Rodgers by the end of the week. The former Borussia Dortmund coach is favourite to take over from the Northern Irishman, with ex-Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti also a contender. German Klopp, 48, is understood to be open to the idea of a move. Talks with his representatives are progressing well and the club want a new manager in place to prepare for a visit to Tottenham on 17 October. bbc

According to the Telegraph, Sacking Brendan Rodgers, 42, eight games into the Premier League season could cost Liverpool more than £10m but i am sure it will be looked as the cost of a new era to see if Liverpool can change to Champions yet again.

kloppThe man taking over Jurgen Klopp had a very noisy last season at Dortmund before moving on. However, He stood out the season before the last breaking a lot of grounds with Dortmund.

Funny, Mourinho should have a quick sit down with Klopp and ask “People are asking me what is wrong with Chelsea, what was wrong with Dortmund last year when your run went bad?

Amidst options like Ancelotti, Jurgen Klinsman, Jurgen Klopp looks like a better fit for Liverpool. I think so and i know many of you think so too.

But then, Is sacking Brendan Rodgers the right move?
