Sacking Rafa Benitez was becoming eminent over the last few weeks in what seemed like obvious weakness in the Real Madrid Squad output.. as a person, i dont think the squad is that bad under Rafa but its Real madrird, A loss to rival barcelona is enough to get you sacked. Looking at Madrid’s form this season. It’s not awful, but the whole is less than the sum of the parts. Gifting the entire first half to Villarreal, being outplayed in a 0-0 draw at home by Paris Saint-Germain, gifting an equaliser to Valencia last weekend less than two minutes after going up 2-1, being thrashed by Barcelona, surrendering the lead at Atletico Madrid, where they allowed themselves to be corralled in their own final third of the pitch — those were signs of weakness.

Well that is in the past now because the Helms have changed. Zidane is the new boss and is already at work on the training ground. The mighty Frenchman, 43, makes his debut Saturday as Madrid’s youngest coach in 20 years at home against Deportivo La Coruna.

How do you think Zizou will fare?

One place i always like to look in Real is team selections, Madrid have six “must play” footballers when everyone is fit: Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez. They also have one who should play — Isco — who is the darling of both the media and the fans. How will Zidane choose.

What about Formation? He played in Castilla with a 46 percent win rate, with 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, 4-4-2 and 4-1-4-1 in the majority so what will it be in Madrid?

New arrivals, Topping the list is underpreforming Eden Hazard who has been in the eye of Zizu since 2010 …hmmm.

“I want to thank the club and you, president, for giving me the chance to coach this great team,” Zidane told a press conference on Monday evening.

“Today is a very exciting day for me, even more so than when I signed as a player. I am going to give all my heart for this club.”
